Rules

WarBid is a two-team, pay-to-rank tug of war. Rank is the bid, and the team with the higher combined total pulls the rope to their side.

What WarBid is

WarBid is a live leaderboard split into two teams, Team A and Team B. You submit a website, pick a team, and pay a bid. Your bid is added to that team's total and decides where your site sits in the standings.

Rank is paid placement, not an organic result. A higher position means the owner paid more for it. There is no voting, no quality score, and no algorithm deciding the order.

The two teams

Every site belongs to one team. The two team lists sit side by side, each ranked on its own. A site keeps the team it first bid for, that choice is permanent and later bids can never move it to the other team.

How ranking works

  • Within a team, sites are ordered by their total bid, highest first.
  • A completed payment is what changes the standings.
  • The board reorders the moment your payment confirms, your site lands wherever its total ranks on its team.
  • Being on top is never permanent, a higher bid can always take the spot.

Placing a bid

  • The minimum bid is $2.
  • The amount is prefilled with the price to take rank #1 on the team you pick, one dollar above that team's current top bid.
  • Use the + and − buttons to adjust the amount, down to the $2 minimum.
  • Bidding the asking price puts your site at the top of that team's list. Bidding less still counts toward the team but ranks lower.

Topping up an existing site

If you submit a site that already has a bid, your new amount is added on top of its existing total instead of creating a duplicate. Only the added amount is charged, and the site stays on its original team. Bids never expire, so a total only ever grows.

What each listing shows

A listing displays the site's logo, name, and a short description pulled from the site itself, along with its team, current rank, and total bid. If a site blocks automated previews, we show its domain and favicon instead, the bid still counts the same.

The tug of war

The rope in the arena moves toward whichever team has the larger combined total, and each bid adds a player to that team. As bids come in, the balance shifts in real time. There is no fixed end time, the rope and the standings simply reflect the current totals.

Payments are final

All bids are final. Once you pay, the amount cannot be refunded, reversed, or transferred, regardless of the outcome of the pull. If someone later outbids you, your earlier payment is not returned. Be sure before you confirm a bid.

Fair play

Submit real, reachable websites you own or are allowed to promote. Links that don't resolve to a public site are rejected. We may remove entries that are spam, malicious, deceptive, adult, or otherwise abusive, and a paid bid remains non-refundable even if the entry is removed.
